There are many types of coral but i am doing hard coral. There are many
hards corals and what they do to the reef. The Great Barrier Reef is known
around the globe. On the Great Barrier Reef there is about 359 hard coral.
Some hard corals is Acropa sp, Acroporidae sp, Avia lizardensis,
Coelentrate sp and Porites sp. Corals have many types of ways to get their
food. Hard corals receive most of their energy from a type of algae called
zooxanthellae. The algae lives inside the corals skin. The corals let the
algae live in a safe place for energy to keep alive.

Hard Corals
Some types of hard coral are Acropa sp, Brain coral, Acroporidae sp, Avia
lizardensis, Coelentrate sp, Mushroom coral, Tabletop coral, Porites sp,
Staghorn coral, Turbinaria sp and many more.
Hard corals are corals that form calcium carbonate skeletons as they grow,
giving reefs their structure.
Hard corals gain energy by catching food with their tentacles. Corals use
their tentacles to filter and capture food like plankton and small fish
from the water coral. Nematocycts lining the tentacle skin help to
paralyze the food so that the tentacles can deliver it to the mouth.
